Practice

kpb Architecture is a commercial and residential architecture practice in Clifton Park,

New York formed by Keith Buff. The practice is rooted in sensible design solutions and aesthetics that fundamentally consider client goals, surrounding context and building function.

Keith P. Buff AIA, LEED AP

After graduating architecture school from Northeastern University in Boston, Keith moved back to his native Albany to begin a successful career in architecture that has been diverse and broad in both scope and scale. Keith’s career began working in the K-12 schools market for the Sear Brown Group (now Stantec) in Albany, NY. There he developed the technical skills necessary to understand the complexity of buildings and the value of A/E integration. After years of building a sound technical base, Keith’s career took him to Cannon Design, a design firm with headquarters in Grand Island, NY. It was here that Keith grew to appreciate the importance of design and collaboration as an integral component of architecture. Most recently Keith held a position at EYP, Inc. in Albany, NY. EYP helped hone Keith’s design, technical and management skills by working with talented teams on projects both foreign and domestic. Much of Keith’s EYP career was spent working on international government projects which have allowed him to expand his architectural influences with projects in Israel, Jordan, the Czech Republic and Iraq.

From projects throughout the United States to various projects in the Middle East and Europe, Keith’s experiences have crossed the globe and left a profound impact on his approach to architecture. Having been licensed to practice architecture in NYS since 2006 and after more than 19 years in the design & construction industry, Keith’s broad range of experiences have provided him with the knowledge and foundation to start his own practice. In January of 2016, kpb Architecture, PLLC was formed with the desire to provide sensible design solutions suitable for a variety of owner goals.
